It has been another eventful year at Frog and our portfolio companies. Despite the Coronavirus outbreak, we’re taking a look back at the good news that the year 2020 has brought us and our portfolio — from new funds and investments, to exceptional growth and noteworthy awards.

Here’s our recap of what transpired throughout the year.

We announced our investment in leading AI-based employee-engagement software Winningtemp. The software also had a 300% increase in platform usage during the first three weeks of COVID-19 lockdown.

McMakler received $50m from private equity investor Warburg Pincus. Besides that, it was named number one in a YouGov poll on awareness of real estate firms in Germany, adding that 41% of Germans know about the online estate agent.

Meanwhile, Azimo launched in Australia and saw over 50% customer growth amid COVID-19. The smartphone-based money transfer also partnered with big service providers such as Siam Commercial Bank (SCB), one of Thailand’s leading commercial banks, and Alipay, China’s largest mobile payment app, for instant money transfers to China.

Sellics, a leading merchant software, launched Sellics Advertising while Opensignal launched the “Global Mobile Network Experience Awards 2020,” one of their most comprehensive reports yet.

Payments-as-a-service API Platform Modulr secured a strategic investment of £9m from Paypal Ventures. SHE Software, on the other hand, announced their COVID-19 Assure Portal to support their customers.

sofatutor experienced exponential growth, with a four times increase of users during the first few months of the pandemic.

Finally, global leader in shared mobility Vulog partnered with leading insurance provider Allianz Partners and was granted the prestigious Mobility Tech award at KPMG France’s Top Tech Tomorrow 2020.
