Experience

Following an Electronic Engineering degree, my career in software development began for a startup in the automotive industry. Ever since, I have been fortunate to work in tech companies at different scales, all with one thing in common: rapid growth. It is over this time that I developed an understanding of the opportunities and challenges that scale-ups face as they grow and mature.

The obligations and priorities of a technology leader during scale-up can change very quickly and are not just limited to software and infrastructure development. Aspects such as talent management and process development are all critical components of a successful technology function, as well of course as the underlying tech stack. Data led decision making together with iterative and proportionate change enables organisations to scale-up while preserving what was underlying early success.

At Frog Capital

In 2013 I completed my MBA, after which I undertook  a number of technology turnaround assignments. I began advising Frog in 2019 as Technology Specialist, before joining as an Operating Partner in 2021.

The Frog approach to working alongside the portfolio as a partner is unique. It starts early in the deal origination phase, where we really get to know the businesses, their people, their products and their culture.

This period is incredibly important, as not only do we want to know that they will be a good fit for Frog, but we also want these teams to evaluate how we can be a good fit for them. Alongside the Scale-Up Methodology, the Operating Partner program brings together a wide range of experiences, expertise and access to networks that the portfolio can draw upon.

Positive Growth

I get great satisfaction from working with purpose led companies that make a positive impact on society. They often excel at attracting great talent, making the engagement as an Operating Partner that more fulfilling.
