McMakler exceeds 2020 sales goals by 70% despite pandemic challenges

It’s been a booming past year for Frog portfolio company McMakler – Germany’s most well-known and fastest growing online estate agent – as CEO Felix Jahn states in an interview that the company surpassed its expected sales in 2020 despite the Coronavirus pandemic.

Jahn said: “We exceeded our goals for 2020 and, despite the restrictions caused by the corona crisis, grew very strongly by more than 70% compared to the previous year.” He added that the company originally budgeted 50 million euros, but in the end it was more than 53 million. This year it should be “more than 100 million euros.”

In 2020, McMakler announced that US financial investor Warburg Pincus Funds has invested $50 million in the real estate company, therefore becoming a minority shareholder.

“We consciously continue to invest capital in our technology, our core offers and in hiring further brokers,” said Jahn.
