Fintechs move into charitable giving

The number of people worldwide who are attracted to the ease and speed of donating online is growing, particularly amongst Millennials. 83% of this generation say that they are more loyal to companies that help them contribute positively to their favourite social and environmental causes, as reported in a study conducted by Omnicom Group’s Cone Communications. In addition, according to Non-Profit Sources, 54% of donors worldwide prefer to give online. This figure has led to $31 billion online donations in the US alone. Many people are also looking to providers they already use to help them make seamless and/or automated donations to their chosen causes.

Amongst those leading the way for Fintech companies who are looking to make charitable giving more accessible is Frog portfolio company Azimo, the online international money transfer company. Azimo has over one million users and gives these users the option to donate a percentage of their transfer to charity.
