The Caspar team on quality control and access in digital rehabilitation

The team at Frog portfolio company Caspar Health – Germany’s leading digital aftercare platform – have recently been keeping busy attending several in-person events themed around digital aftercare and rehabilitation.

Dr. Lara Maier, Caspar’s Medical Director, spoke at the DEGEMED Congress about the use of telemedicine during rehabilitation. The congress focused heavily on a topic of high importance to the Caspar team’s mission – quality control in teletherapy. Lara says, “For me, in everyday life for clinics, the hybrid model wins over the purely digital – the mixture makes it successful”. Medical facilities use Caspar Health to carry out therapy measures online with their patients during their stay in hospital and after discharge. This easy access for medical-therapeutic care for patients means that therapy successes can be ensured more sustainably.

The Caspar team also attended the BG Kliniken Rehabilitation Symposium in Frankfurt, where they engaged in conversations around the future of rehabilitation. In addition to discussions around dealing with COVID-19 as an occupational disease and the advancing digitalisation in the healthcare system, the main focus of the event was medical rehabilitation in individual specialist areas. The Caspar team says, “We were able to take away some interesting insights from the lectures and discussions”.
