Modulr, the the Payments as a Service API Platform for digital businesses, joins an outstanding group of fintech trailblazers as part of CB Insights’ 2021 Fintech 250 list. The businesses were chosen by the Intelligence Unit of CB Insights from a group of approximately 17,000 companies.
The fourth annual Fintech 250 is a ranking of 250 of the most impressive private fintech firms that are utilising technology to revolutionise financial services. The Fintech 250 businesses span a wide range of industries, from capital markets to insurance, electronic payments to wealth management. They were selected based on a variety of criteria, comprising data provided by businesses, business models and market dynamics, and Mosaic ratings, a proprietary methodology developed by CB Insights that assesses the overall health and development prospects of private firms.
Specifically, Modulr was recognised for their Core Banking and Infrastructure capabilities. Modulr accounts are used to make payments in lieu of bank accounts. They contain sorting codes, access to payment systems, and anything else you would expect from a bank account. However, they are more efficient, simpler to use, and more dependable. Modulr’s inclusion in this list proves that they are maintaining their status as a fintech heavyweight, especially considering that they could have been included in more than one category, showing the breadth of their innovation.
