Mike launched Frog in 2009, after seven years in industry and 12 years at 3i. As Managing Partner, he represents Frog on the Boards of OrderDynamics, Rated People, Dealflo and Dynamic Action. Mike was the lead Partner on Frog’s successful investment in GB Group and closely involved with the Frog successful investments into Journey Group, SiC Processing and ACBiogas. Prior to Frog, Mike spent 12 years as Director at 3i investing in a range of technology businesses. He was actively involved on the Boards of high-growth companies across the UK, US & Nordic regions. Mike started his career at British Gas. He is member of the BVCA GP Committee and holds a BSc (Hons) in Business Administration from the University of Bath.

Steven has over 15 years of private equity experience gained both within private equity firms and as a senior executive of private equity backed companies. He joined Frog as CFO and Partner in charge of Portfolio  in 2015. He  represents Frog on the Boards of Scoota and Edited. Prior to joining Frog, Steven spent four years at Syscap, a leading provider of alternative funding to SMEs, where he was CFO and managed the successful sale to Wesleyan Assurance Society. In addition to his operational experience, Steven spent four years as a Portfolio Director at Livingbridge, the UK private equity fund. Steven began his career as a chartered accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers in 1990. In addition to holding a MA in Economics from Cambridge University, he has a diploma in Organisational Psychology.

Martin is one of those rare executives who has transitioned a successful career as CEO/entrepreneur to one of a venture capitalist. Following 15 years of operational experience starting, building and selling companies, he and his three partners developed Creandum, best known for its investments in Vivino, Spotify and iZettle, into one of the most successful VC funds in the Nordic region.   At Creandum he lead multiple exits including: Jays AB (IPO), IPtronics (acquired by Mellanox), and Nanoradio (acquired by Samsung) and Autobutler (acquired by PSA Group — the carmaker behind the brands Peugeot, Citroën and DS).  During Martin’s early entrepreneurial years, he co-founded Creuna, which is today the largest digital agency in the Nordics.     

Martin holds the position as Chairman of No Isolation AS and VIBBIO.  In addition, he remains a non-executive director at Creandum and Appear TV.

Martin holds an MSc from Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), studied law at the University of Copenhagen and business studies at International Institute for Management Development (IMD) and Stanford University.

Joe joined Frog in 2009 and became a Partner in 2015. Joe works closely with the Boards of Skimlinks and Mediatonic, and leads Frog’s collaboration with the London Business School on the TELL Series, serving as an Advisory Board Member since 2010. Prior to Frog, Joe was part of Jefferies’  Technology Investment Banking team, and previous to this, he was part of EY’s Consulting team implementing large projects in various US locations. Joe holds an MBA from London Business School and a BSc with Distinction and an MSc in Industrial Engineering from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.

Jens joined Frog in 2012 and became a Partner in 2016. Active across all Frog’s investment themes, he has a particular focus on investment opportunities in German-speaking Europe and BeNeLux. Jens represents Frog on the board of McMakler and works closely with Azimo. Jens joined Frog from Pioneer Point Partners, European mid-market private equity investor. Previously, he was part of the Fidelity Equity Partner team in London, Fog City Capital’s team in San Francisco and Apax’s Munich based TMT team. Jens began his career with four years as a corporate finance advisor at Dresdner Kleinwort. He holds an MSci in Theoretical Physics from the University of Durham and an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley. He speaks German, English and French.

Sue became Non-Executive Partner in 2008 and has been advising the firm since before 2009. Sue has 26 years’ private equity experience and is currently Chairman of the Investment Committee at Epi-V, one of Europe’s most active venture capital investors in the oil and gas sector. Previously, she spent 15 years at 3i in various roles, including as Director of the Transaction team where she managed a portfolio of £150m. Sue began her career as an accountant with KPMG, and holds a BSc (Hons) in Economics from the University of St. Andrews.

Conor has experience in both early stage investing and mid-market technology M&A advisory. Conor joined us from Forward Partners, an early stage, eCommerce-focused, VC fund. Previously, he spent 4 years at Arma Partners, where he advised on several high profile European technology transactions, including the sales of Momondo, CarTrawler and Metrologic.


Conor is an Investor at Frog; he joined the team in 2016 and is a core part of our deal origination, execution and due diligence activity. He is part of the investment team that led Frog’s investments and ongoing work in Dealflo and Vulog.


Conor holds a BSc in Economics from the University of York, and outside of the office is a keen football and rugby fan.

Giovanni joined us from J.P. Morgan where he was an Associate in the London Investment Banking TMT team, working on M&A, financing and IPO transactions primarily in technology and communication infrastructure. He began his career at Arma Partners, an M&A advisory boutique focused on the TMT mid-market sector.

Giovanni is an Investor at Frog; he joined the team in 2017 and is central part of Frog’s deal origination, execution and due diligence activity as well as portfolio company development. 

Giovanni is from Milan and holds a MSc in Finance with distinction from ESADE Business School, Barcelona and a BSc cum laude in Economics from Catholic University, Milan. He speaks Italian and English.


Iyad was a Frog Partner up until July 2017 and is now a Venture Partner representing Frog the Boards of Azimo and Skimlinks. At Frog, he led several successful investments, including SiC Processing AG and Iyad came to Frog with six years’ experience in the technology industry, including operational roles in two start-ups, and four years as a Product Marketing Engineer at AMD in California. Further technology investment experience includes time as an Associate at Kennet Capital, and as an Equity Analyst focused on technology equities. Iyad holds an MBA from London Business School and a BS in Electrical Engineering from George Washington University.

David is an investor and long-time advisor to Frog Capital.   

With a rare blend of growth and turnaround CEO credibility alongside extensive private equity track record, David is an accomplished business operator within complex international markets. Passionate about how strategy is defined and translated into effective execution, David always has impactful insights on the businesses he engages with.  

David now holds a number of executive chairman and board roles, including the Shepherd Group, Ramco and Tharsus.  From 2004 to 2011, David grew and successfully sold Serimax Holdings, initially a French focussed business and laterally an international company having expanded to the UK and US.  Prior to this, David spent 18 years at 3i in various leadership and investment roles.
