Counter Fraud Authority protects the NHS with Clue

Frog Capital portfolio company Clue outline how the world-leading investigation and intelligence software has strengthened its position as a leader in counter fraud with its latest NHS customer story.

According to its latest estimate, the NHS is vulnerable to £1.14B worth of fraud each year and it’s the responsibility of the NHS Counter Fraud Authority to prevent the misappropriation of valuable resources and protecting the capabilities of frontline staff. The intelligence and investigations software is critical to help avoid disruptions within the NHS.

Since implementing Clue as its central counter fraud case management system 2212 fraud incidents have been recorded leading to 586 new investigations, while helping to ensure active cases are supported. Raw data from this activity combined with Clue’s ability to visualise potential threats enables earlier recognition of warning signs and led to the development of best practices in preventing counter-fraud strategies.

“Our strapline is spot it, report it, together we stop it…the Clue system embodies this and helps NHSCFA and the NHS counter fraud community identify fraud risks – it supports better reporting and, ultimately, helps us in our work to stop fraud.”

Clue, a SaaS investigation case management and intelligence platform is also used by different sectors such as governments, police, private, and non-profit sectors and have helped to detect criminal activities and counter threats, from organised crime to corruption, terrorism to environmental criminal activity and much more.
